Scent is not the same
Why change the scent? That was a classic baby smell and now it’s so strong and kind of sickening :( I always loved the baby lotion smell and now it’s just terrible! Please please bring back the original Johnson’s baby lotion scent we all knew and loved!!

NEW FORMULA JOHNSON'S BABY LOTION
Who the heck changed the scent in this lotion- I notice the last couple of time I purchased this product I was not pleased and will not offer this product to anyone. Johnson's I must say you guys really messed up - I need the old baby scent back not this cheap less of a scent that you have made- WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!

The new formula is AWFUL
As a Baby lotion daily user for over 20 plus years Im sad to say the new formula has ruined what used to be a staple in my families life. It no longer moisturizes your skin it leaves it dry scaly even the texture and feel of the product is dry , even with multiple applications will not moisturize your skin. I am sad to say I:((( please bring back the consistency and integrity of the original product .Zero stars :((((

Johnson’s baby lotion. NEW Formula
I am 66 and I have been using this lotion for years. Love it and makes my skin look healthy. I bought another bottle the other day. Says New Formula on it. I liked the old formula so much better. It is hard to get the new formula rubbed in. Why did you change formulas? Question below asked if I would recommend this product to a friend. Yes I have recommended it to a lot of friends, but now I don’t think I would. I think this is a great product, but not the new formula. Thank you, Beverly

New formula is terrible! Why mess up a good thing?
I have been using Johnsons baby lotion all my 49 years. My skin is very sensitive and nearly all other lotions feel like a coating of grease on my skin. Baby lotion is really the only lotion that feels good and smells good but now it doesn't rub into my skin properly and smells like awful cheap air freshener for the car. I'm so disappointed that they would change something that had been reliable for so long. Either go back to the old formula or offer a classic baby lotion option.

Sometimes change is not a good thing.....
Sigh. Why do companies always have to "new and improve" products that are already good? I used to LOVE this lotion, it was perfect for my sensitive skin and the smell was heavenly. Unfortunately this new formula is just subpar, and the smell is...well kind of gross. I truly miss that light, fresh scent that was unmistakably Johnson and Johnson baby lotion. Unfortunately, I will probably look elsewhere for my go to lotion :(

Build a better pump bottle
Long time user of the original J&J.
I love new the formula dislike the the idea of not having the ability to unscrew the top. Cutting the top off of the bottle just to o get to the lotion at the bottom makes it kinda pointless.
I like the ability to unscrew the bottle to completely empty the bottle.
If you make a pump bottle with a removable lid that would be great, otherwise I love the new formula with coconut oil.

Hate the new formula.
I've been using this lotion every day for 50+ years, but I cannot use the new formula. Everything about it is awful, especially the reality that it doesn't absorb into your skin. It leaves a horrible white coating on my skin - I hate it! Please bring back the original formula. If you have to make a new and improved then have both, so those of us who are lifelong customers don't have to leave. Right now, J&J has left me no choice. I cannot use the new formula. When I first got it I thought it was a defective bottle and I returned it. When the second bottle was the same I thought it was the store and the whole batch was bad, so I went to a different retailer and bought it. But alas, it was the same. Not usable. And definitely wouldn't use it on a baby's skin, given that it causes my own skin such trouble.

NEW.. NOT IMPROVED......
Glad to know I am not the only one who HATES the new formula. I have used your product head to toe for over 35 years. First the original.. then the lotion with aloe which was amazing... that got discontinued... then you changed the lids... hate the pumps as well. Need to go back to the screw on lids.. so much better. I mean if you want to have a new lotion make a new lotion.. don't change the staple.. the original. It is horrible.. I can no longer use it on my face.. it is way to oily. I look like a mummy waiting for it to soak in on the rest of my body... and the smell... not even close to what it used to smell like. So disappointed... PLEASE bring back the original formula!!!! New one SUCKS!!!

The product I know and love
I have been using this product since I was born in 1968 and have used constantly ever since. I really dislike your new formula. It’s oily and takes forever for skin to absorb. The scent is not the same or the color of the lotion.Bring back the old formula with the retro squeeze bottle PLEASE!!!

New Formula Doesn't Absorb Easily
I’ve been using Johnson and Johnson Baby Lotion for decades and have always loved it…until now. The “new” formula takes twice as long to rub in and it doesn’t have the same smell. PLEEEEEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!! I don’t understand why a company would tinker with something that was so good already!!! :(

No longer a good product
I’ve been using this lotion probably 50 years, since my children were babies. I’m very sensitive to fragrance but JBL never bothered me. I just bought two very large containers only to find that the smell is no longer tolerable and the lotion is not very moisturizing. It seems you’ve completely changed the product. The smell is quite unpleasant to use on your hands and I would never use it on an infant!

Please bring back the old formula!
I always used this lotion for my daughter and myself. After purchasing the new formula, I was so disappointed. I miss the smell of the old formula too. I’ve been checking several stores hoping to find a bottle of the original. I agree with some of the other unsatisfied customers. At least make the other kind an option.

Or at least make that an option for buyers, please. I know it's been years, but I am yearning for that old formula and have collected as much resell bottles as possible, still having to worry about it being completely gone after I use them all up for me and my child. Please this is just so important for some of us who has been a customer since we were children.

New Formula is Awful!!!
Similar to what some others have said, I’ve been using this baby lotion for more than 20+ years, even as an adult and this new formula makes me want to explore other options in the market. The reasons I’ve used this lotion for decades - how easy it gets absorbed, non-sticky/oily feeling after absorption, the smell - are now all gone in this new formula! It took me wayyyy too long to get it rubbed in and that’s that I’m an adult, if this product is actually for babies, I can’t imagine rubbing this into my son’s skin for as long as I had to rub it into mine. It also now has a rubbery smell that is not the one I know and love. Change the formula back! Don’t fix what’s not broken.

Disappointed in new formula
I have used this product for over 25 years even as an adult. I can tell that the formula has changed. The new formula will not absorb and rub in. You look white for a while until you finally get it rubbed in. The smell has also changed and it is not as fresh with the Johnson’s smell we used to have. I purchased three separate bottles from different places hoping to get the old formula or hoping the first was old or a mistake. Can you all please bring back the original formula. I will be looking for a new lotion.

Disappointed! New formula & fragrance is terrible.
Been using J&J Baby Lotion for years even as an adult. Unaware they changed the formula, my recent purchase was a noticeable difference right away. It’s greasy, feels like it leaves an oily film and the new fragrance is terrible. No longer a fan and no longer will I buy it. Go back to the original!

New Formula Johnson’s Baby Lotion
I have been using this product for a very long time. This new Formula is horrible. If I wanted to rub grease on my body I would open a can of Crisco Grease & use that. It isn’t the light pink color & it doesn’t smell like a baby. This NEW FORMULA is horrible!!!!! I have 4 big bottles of it & don’t what I am going to do with it. GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMULA!!!!

I dislike the new formula.....its thick it feels like your rubbing sunscreen on. I have used the original baby lotion since I was a kid, and as an adult its the only lotion I will use for my body and face...very disappointed in the change. why change something that was so great and worked for years let alone decades. Please bring the original formula back.

Too white and thick, and no baby smell
I purchased the largest bottle with pump. When applied it takes long to rub in. It rubs on white and thick. And does not have a baby smell anymore. I am completely unsatisfied. I bought another bottle thinking it was defective. I got same results. I had to look at my old Bottle and saw it didn’t have coconut oil in it. And it said new ingredients.

I loved the original and have used it for over 24 years. The new formula does not rub in nicely, takes longer to rub in. With the new formula it turns white and does not absorb like the old. Wish it had never changed. Why did it change?
